We thank Allah Azza Wa Jall who has chosen us to witness yet another Ramadan! We still breathing in this month so that we can ask forgiveness for our sins and can beautify our book of good deeds.
Every night of this blessed month, Allahﷻ invites his slaves to race and compete with each other in doing righteous deeds. The Prophet ﷺ said “On the first night of the month of Ramadan, the devils are chained, and the gates of Hellfire are closed, the gates of Paradise are opened and none of its gates is closed. A caller announces: ‘O seeker of good, come near! O seeker of evil, stop short! Allah will save them from the Hellfire and that is during every night of Ramadan’.”
Ramadan is an excellent opportunity for all of us who hope to be saved from the Hellfire and willing to become the beloved slaves of Allah. Do not waste this month socializing and feasting. This is a month of improving our relationship with our Creator. The Prophet ﷺ said that actions are judged by their intentions, So, before entering into Ramadan lets pause, think, revise, purify intentions and make it only and only for Allah Azza Wa Jall
Let’s Be thankful to Allah for giving us this wonderful opportunity to taste the sweetness of eemaan, the pleasure in sujood, the sabr only and only for his sake. We can easily count those who were present with us in the last Ramadan but now they are beneath this earth, their book of deeds is closed ..but ours are still open, let’s utilize this month to its fullest…Let’s be free from our sins, the sins that don’t allow us to taste the sweetness of the Quran, the sweetness of Salah and the pleasure of nearness to Allah.
Abu Huraira (RA) reported: The Prophet, ﷺ, ascended the pulpit and said, “Aameen, Aameen, Aameen.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, you ascended the pulpit and said Aameen, Aameen, Aameen.” The Prophet said, “Verily, Jibreel came to me and he said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and he is not forgiven, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say Aameen. I said Aameen. Whoever sees his parents in their old age, one or both of them, and he does not honour them and he dies, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say Aameen. I said Aameen. Whoever has your name mentioned in his presence and he does not send blessings upon you and he dies, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say Aameen. I said Aameen.”
Let’s stand-in doing good deeds and making dua for our deceased, indeed they need our duas
قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ فَبِذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
Say: “It is the blessing and mercy of Allah; so rejoice in it. it is better from what they collect.” Quran: (10:58)
