I clearly remember the day in my early childhood when there was chaos in one of the cinema halls of Mumbai (Bombay, back then). A Muslim crowd was furious at the cinema management because of some scenes from a movie, portraying a Muslim guy to be the bad guy. I saw my parents were equally angry especially with the filmmakers thinking why have they started showing Muslim characters in negative shades? I’m sure it will be a surprise for most of you! Especially in current times that how can a Muslim community once upon a time could be so alive! because of course, you might compare the situation from today’s perspective when every evil man turns out to be a Muslim, a practising Muslim is a labelled terrorist, where a patriotic Muslim is against Islamic values, where a practical man must be a ‘Liberal Muslim, where our history is completely distorted, where the facts are twisted, where the great Muslim personalities are behind wealth & fame also, brutal and merciless, where each Muslim girl is supposed to be in a relationship with a Hindu boy and it should be perfectly fine with her parents, wherein the name of freedom, hijab is shown as a barrier in her way, where equality is that, in the army, they hardly show a single Muslim man struggling with thousands of Hindu fighters, where if you want to be successful you must be without the traits of Islam.

So, amidst all these false depictions, when we are okay with it, or to be more specific, Muslims are known to be the highest revenue givers of Bollywood. So when our soul and our self-respect as a Muslim has taken a back seat, its shocking to read such a strange thing…

Bollywood, in the name of entertainment, is injecting poison in our young generation, taking them away from folds of Islam, where the inferiority complex is silently seeping in young Muslim minds, where in the name of joining the mainstream, they are brainwashing,

Isn’t it high time to stop this poison to enter homes?

The poison which pollutes our mind, our thinking aspect, our perspective and above all our aakhirah!

In the name of entertainment, we are ruining the connection with our creator. Allah the most high says in Qur’an

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ

(Al Quran 23:115)

“Did you think that We had created you in play and that you would not be brought back to Us”

Because of language limitation and shortage of words, we tend to translate the word عَبَثًا as play, however in reality it means to add something inferior in a superior substance and thereby force it to decay and rot, the meaning is somewhat near to Adulteration or Contamination

So the meaning would be, Allah has not created us and sent us in this world to contaminate ourselves by these harmful elements and allow these poisonous forces to pollute our Eemaan and weaken the belief of accountability to our Rabb.

Remember my dear brothers and sisters, Islam is a beautiful gift for us, don’t allow any person, ideologies, power or any man-made platforms to make you believe otherwise. It’s your prime responsibility and concern to take care of our Eemaan, Our Allah consciousness. This Dunya is nothing but few years and few things. Do not barter your permanent life in aakhirah with this temporary life.

كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا ‏

On the day when they see it (their end), it will seem to them as though they had only lived in the world for a morning or an afternoon.

(Al Quran 79:46)

We need to see Islam through our own eyes, our own perception by devoting our time to Quran and the sciences derived from it. Knowledge is power, when you have the power of your deen, no one on this earth can degrade you, can brainwash you! So, regain your self-respect, rise and follow the footsteps of our great heroes. United we stand, join hands boycott these immoral and filthy sources of entertainment. Let them see the deficient revenues & fall in profits and thereby make them refrain from fabricated/twisted historical events, immorality and defaming Muslim ummah in sha Allah!
